There are two files associated with each database, an SixBit.MDF and a SixBit_Log.LDF file. If you would prefer, you can make manual backups of the database files. You can make a backup from within SixBit under the Application Menu|Manage button. This means that if you are moving SixBit to another machine and want it removed from your current machine, you can uninstall the database without any affect to other instances of SQL Server 2008 R2.īefore you uninstall, you may want to save a backup.
This means that regardless of whether you had another copy of SQL Server 2008 R2 installed or not, SixBit would get its own copy and not interfere with any other copies. When installed, SixBit created its own instance of SQL Server 2008 R2.
